Your day begins in Old Raahe on Finland’s northern coast.
From the historic wooden town, travel north through the changing Finnish landscape towards Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle.
A few hours later, you arrive in Finnish Lapland.
Here you can cross the Arctic Circle, explore Santa Claus Village and spend time discovering one of Finland’s best-known northern destinations at your own pace.
In the evening, return to the historic coast – or make Rovaniemi the next chapter of your journey.

After arriving at the Arctic Circle, the day is yours to explore.
Visit Santa Claus Village, cross the Arctic Circle and discover the shops and attractions of the area.
You may meet Santa Claus, send a postcard from the Arctic Circle Post Office or simply enjoy time exploring the destination independently.
Rather than following a tightly scheduled programme throughout the day, you have the freedom to choose how you spend your time.

Your Journey Doesn’t Have to End in Rovaniemi
The excursion normally returns to Old Raahe in the evening.
But perhaps your Finnish journey is heading further north.
If so, you may leave the excursion in Rovaniemi and continue independently to your next destination in Lapland.
This makes it possible to combine a stay on Finland’s historic northern coast with a longer journey through Lapland without returning south first.
Old Raahe can be part of the journey north – not a detour from it.
