Oulu Airport is approximately one hour by car from Lang Resort.
Oulu has regular flight connections with Helsinki, making it easy to combine Lang with an international journey through Finland’s capital.

Travel North by Rail
Long-distance trains connect Helsinki and other Finnish cities with the region.
Vihanti railway station is approximately 30 minutes from Lang Resort, with onward travel to Raahe by car or transfer.

Raahe is easily reached by road and travelling by car gives you the freedom to explore more of the Bothnian Bay coast during your stay.

Lang can be part of a longer journey through northern Finland.
From Old Raahe, you can travel to Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle on one of our full-day experiences. Spend the day discovering Finnish Lapland and return to Lang in the evening — or stay in Rovaniemi and continue your journey further north.
Choose a simple day trip with transport and a meal, add SantaPark and a husky or reindeer ride, or ask us to create a journey around your interests.

How Long Should You Stay?
Old Raahe can be discovered in a day, but to experience Lang and Finland’s northern coast without rushing, we recommend staying for a few nights.
Time changes the experience. One day might begin among the wooden streets of Old Raahe, another in the warmth of a Finnish sauna or out by the sea. A longer stay gives you time to experience the place rather than simply visit it.

One of the pleasures of staying at Lang is that Old Raahe is not somewhere you need to travel to. You are already there.
Step outside Langin Kauppahuone and the wooden streets, historic houses and courtyards of the old town begin around you. Much of Old Raahe can be explored on foot, allowing you to discover the town slowly and at your own pace.
For experiences and places further along the coast, transport needs depend on the activity. If a transfer is included or required, you will find the details with the individual experience.
